People often tell me that they went to a considerable amount of trouble developing a website for their business and they hardly get any visitors. The old saying "If I build it they will come" is popularized everywhere usually by those that have an interest in getting your money by making it seem that there are riches for the taking. Actually nothing could be further from the truth. When you build your web site it more like a supermarket lost in the desert with no road to get there. In this issue we are focusing on the best way I know to get a steady flow of visitors to your web site. Knowing and targeting your visitors. When I started my web site I got from 1 to 20 visitors a day for several months. I had submitted my site to as many search engines as I could but still didn't get any traffic. I needed a method to attract people to my site. My first thoughts was to advertise (which is to buy traffic). Advertising works but unless your selling something that costs a lot and was very popular already you could send all your profit on the advertising. I found a better way. I found a company that would give me all kinds of information about who my visitors were, where they came from, Which pages they visited and so much more. This service costs only a few dollars a month so I tried it. In 6 months my traffic has grown from 10 visitors a day average to well over 3000 a day. I have learned how to target my traffic at the same time. Auditing your traffic is the best way I know to build traffic and target the traffic you want, it's also the cheapest way I know of to build traffic. It does take effort so it's not for everyone but if you can afford more time than money and your Internet presence is important to you, it's it's perfect answer. Bob Robert Smith
