Making Money On The Internet - The Basics
Making money on the Internet isn't hard. In fact, I'm going to show you just how easy it is. What follows is the exact formula that I and millions of other business owners are using to make money on the Internet. It works, and I highly recommend that you use it. (If you're new to the idea of making money on the Internet, and are looking to start an online business, this article is just for you.) It's more than well known, if you want to make it big on the Internet, you need to have your own product or service. While you can make a rather well to do part time income selling for other businesses (or using their products and services for back end sales), it is in your best interest to sell something that you have exclusive rights to. So how do you create a product or service? Simply look at your own interest, that is, what you like (or love) to do, and go out and find a need in the market for that particular interest. An Example: After you are on to something, see if YOU can't fill that want or need, the void that the other fishing sites don't cover. There's the "idea" for your product or service that *will* sell (if marketed correctly). Developing a product or service is a rather simple procedure, but you must always remember, you need to find a need for your product or service *before* you spend any time developing it. To spend all of your time creating a product and *then* trying to find a market to sell it to is not only a waste of time and money, but a waste of life. It's much easier to fill a need that already exists. You *know* people want it. You *know* the people who want it. This makes selling your product or service MUCH easier. Too many people spend all of their time setting up an elaborate site with a million links and things to do, something of an online store, when they should really only have up to five separate pages set up for one particular site, for one particular product/service, for one particular offer. Now I'm not saying that building an online store doesn't work, it does, but it if you've ever tried it, or just think about it, you'll realize that it's just too much work. Especially when having one site, one offer can easily produce the same type of results. The trick to a creating a Web site that sells is to have it center around one goal ... to sell your product or service. Anything else will be a distraction of the sale. I realize the temptation to build this maga cool site that does all of these really neat things, but if you're looking to make money on the Web, you need to concentrate and realize that your site is only there to present your offers. (If you're looking to build a community, hold on and I'll show you the trick I'm using.) For a selling site, you need three things: The idea here is to sell your one product, your one service, your one offer. If you have other products or services in mind and/or developed, either create another Web site to sell it from or use it as a back end product or service. Never distract or give the visitor anything to do but focus in on your one, single offer. Do not confuse them with too many options. THREE: TARGETED TRAFFIC VISITING YOUR SITE The last thing you absolutely must have is traffic to your site. Now, there are a number of ways to do this, and I'll be suggesting the most successful methods below, but always remember this: target your market! Do not spend any type of money or time on advertising your site to hundreds, even thousands of people unless you *know* they will be interested in what you have to offer. This would be a useless effort and sometimes can be potentially harmful to your over all business image (i.e. spam). Now, there are two types of promotion, that of which you pay for, and that of which is free. And I'm going to tell you, amazingly enough, free promotion tends to work to drive traffic to your site more so than that of paid for promotion. Pay For Promotion
There you have it. How thousands of *individuals* are making a healthy living on the Web. As you can see with the ideas presented, its really not that hard once you think about it. You just have to go out and DO IT! Of course, all I have done is provided you with the basic formula for success, and there is much in-depth coverage that needs to be done. But if you're just starting or you need to actually start selling your products or services on the Web, the above stated is *exactly* how you do it. One last thing about my "If you're looking to build a community, hold on and I'll show you the trick I'm using." statement. Realizing that return visits and continued contacts are all to important to doing business on the Web, I've created a cleaver system of having people "opt-in" to my Bi-Weekly Ezine, as well as give myself a chance to build a community to share with those who visit my site WITHOUT distracting from my sales message. Now, I'm not quite finished, but the idea stands strong and is working wonderfully for me. Create a Private Site, niched to your market, where you share "expert" advice and resources that surround your main site's offer. For me, it's Internet marketing. This Private Site gives me something to offer as the incentive to subscribe to my Free Bi-Weekly Ezine, The EFFECT, as well as gives me the chance to build a place to file away all of my ezine articles, all of the resources that I "recommend", all of the tips and tricks that help me create credibility to help establish me and my business. In short. It works. You should try it.
